Seplaa's History of Business Incubation Services

In 2013, Seplaa created the first ‘Social Entrepreneurship for Peacebuilding Incubator’ in Pakistan with Peacebuilding research support from the Centre of Global Affairs, New York University, USA. It was called ICx Seplaa Foundation and later came to be separated from the NGO to become ICx Seplaa. 

Since 2013, the Seplaa Consultants have incubated more than 100 business entities and projects across Pakistan and have given pre incubation seminars to over 7,000 youth and women in: 

  • Seplaa Hub, Lahore, Pakistan
  • Forman Christian College, Lahore Pakistan
  • PITB, Lahore, Pakistan
  • Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore, Pakistan
  • Lahore Center of Entrepreneurship, LUMS, Pakistan.
  • Islamia University Bahawalpur, Bahawalpur, Pakistan.

We have also had case studies presented about our work in social entrepreneurship incubation for peacebuilding where our work was presented in:

  • Okapi Research Advisory presenting in Sri Lanka- 2013.
  • Seplaa Research Team presenting at University of Minneapolis, USA during the US State Department’s US International Visitor Leadership Program, USA- 2014. 
  • Seplaa Research Team presenting at the Peacebuilding Conference organized by the Centre for Global Affairs, New York University at the University of Duhok, Iraq- 2014. 
  • Seplaa Research Team presenting at ‘Afghanistan-Pakistan Regional Cooperation Conference’ organized by the Hollings Centre for International Development in Maldives- 2017.

At the Seplaa Hub, we then organized food entrepreneurship and Impact Entrepreneurship Trainings and Programs with Turkish partners from 2018- 2021 and incubated business in Lahore and Karachi.
